“My mom is a guidance counselor, so I had been visiting schools my whole life. At the very beginning of my senior year, my mom suggested I explore Mercer. At first I was hesitant, but half way through my tour, I told my mom, “I know this is where I want to be.”
I joined the Mercer community in 2014 and since then, I have had so many opportunities inside of and outside of the classroom to try new things, learn about our world, and form meaningful relationships. Mercer allows me to be a part of so many distinct yet intertwining communities. I never imagined that I would be vice president of my sorority, that I would know professors who go out of their way to help me achieve my goals, or that I would make friends who I would give the world for. I am thankful every day that I chose Mercer University; I have built a home here.
