“The relationships I’ve made have impacted my experience the most. Without the friends I have, I do not know what I would be doing. The memories I make with them carry me through the toughest times.”
I knew Mercer was right for me when I came for the Heritage Scholarship Competition. In the welcome, there was a literature professor who talked about how Mercer was a place for service and education, and I remember him clearly saying that if you didn't want service in your life, Mercer was not the place for you. I got chill bumps and realized that I didn’t want to go anywhere else. That was the best decision I have ever made. By being at Mercer, I know I can help change the world for the better. My goal is to become a doctor and join Doctors without Borders.
